Bear Photography season 1.4.-10.10.2026
In the event of an obstacle, the bid price paid will not be returned, but it can be transferred to be used in 2027.
Reservation must be done by e-mail ari.saaski@wbb.fi, latest 30.3.2026.
The photographer has the opportunity to reserve a different photography hide for each night, either in advance or during their stay at the Bear Centre — provided, of course, that the chosen hide has not already been reserved by another photographer.
A map of the photography hides can be found on our website: www.bearcentre.fi
Photographers have access to over 20 well-designed photography hides, offering numerous possibilities and a wide variety of shooting directions, openings, and landscapes. The terrain remains in a natural state, ensuring that the photos capture the authentic feel of untouched wilderness.
All our hides are numbered, making it easy to reserve your preferred hide in advance. Within the hide area, there is a well-maintained boardwalk trail, allowing easy access without the need for rubber boots — normal walking or trekking shoes are sufficient.
Bears often come very close to the hides, sometimes as near as 10–40 meters from the window, so large telephoto lenses are not required. The most commonly used lenses are in the 100–400 mm range.
Each hide features large photographic openings, with at least two per photographer. Every hide also has its own fresh, clean, removable pit toilet, which is cleaned daily.
All essential information for first-time visitors — including guidance about the hides, general rules and regulations, dos and don’ts in the hide area, and information about the bears — is provided upon arrival.
